Brad Davis brings LSU another big-time recruiting win at offensive line

As head coach of the LSU Tigers, Brian Kelly is always going to get the headlines. The downside of being the "top guy" is that those headlines are often negative, but when things go right around LSU football, Kelly is going to be the one getting most of the praise.

With that said, it's only fitting that LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis gets a big-time recruiting shout out. Tyler Miller, four-star offensive tackle from, Laurel, Mississippi, committed to the Tigers this past weekend, and he gave Davis a major shout out — citing him as one of the main reasons he choose LSU over Ole Miss and MIssissippi State.

“Really when I went up to LSU … the minute I went through the door Brad Davis, Dr. Arnold and others, they all felt like I was at home talking to people I knew from years. I feel myself graduating and becoming a better man there with coach Kelly," Miller told On3 regarding his commitment.

“I feel like I’m the closest to coach Brad,” Miller said. “That’s a person I give a lot of respect to and his hustle and his grind is amazing. My relationship with the coaching staff is family and their plan for me is having a good chance of making an impact as soon as I step on campus, but I have to work everyday and nothing is going to be given to me.”

Miller is a big-time commitment for LSU, both literally and figuratively. As a rising senior in high school, he's already 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds. According to the 247Sports Composite, he's ranked as the No. 13 offensive tackle in the 2025 class.

Miller is the second major offensive line commitment Davis has secured this cycle. He was also the primary recruiter for four-star interior offensive lineman Devin Harper, ranked No. 5 at his position nationally.
