Kadarius Toney sends shady message to Kansas City Chiefs after latest controversy
Eric Canha-USA TODAY Sports

Kadarius Toney has been involved in tons of drama recently with the Kansas City Chiefs, and the wide receiver seemed to stir the pot a little bit more during the first day of media availability ahead of the Super Bowl.

And it all stemmed from a simple question.

Toney was asked if he believes he is a No. 1 wide receiver in the NFL.

And while he tried to make light of the situation, his comments were clearly a dig at his team.

“Yeah, if I get it. If I get the ball, yeah," Toney responded.

This comes after the receiver was broadcast on Instagram Live prior to the AFC Championship Game, seeming to claim that the Chiefs lied about his injury status throughout the past few weeks of the season.

Toney later claimed that the clip was digitally altered.

And on Monday, he also finally had to publicly answer for this entire incident.

"I got interrupted so it got a mixed message behind it, I guess you can say. And then a lot of footage got chopped up in the release, so it made it like I was attacking the ones I love most," Toney said. "I never attacked the Chiefs. I never said anything about the Chiefs. I was referring to the Giants fans... which I shouldn't have."

But regardless, looking back Toney knows he shouldn't have done it.

"I shouldn't have done it at the end of the day," Toney simply said. "I'm just moving past it right now."

So based on that answer, it seems like he wasn't intentionally shading the Chiefs with his comment about not getting the ball as often. However, this one is sure to raise some eyebrows.
