GoPro has a new entry to their Line of the Winter contest, this time from Vermont skier Griffin Larson.

Griffin reported that he'd been eyeing the below line for years, wondering if he’d ever get the chance or balls to go for it. "Happy to say that it was a 1 and done for the Dorfman gap!" Watch Larson air the huge gap below.

Larson writes, "kinda let all the emotions pour out once I realized I actually landed…"

There are multiple angles to how impressive this line is.

For one, it's directly under a lift line, meaning more hero factor and more obstacles.

Also, the line before the gap could easily be a respected line on its own. The narrowness, the bumps, rocks, and general technical skills required to even make it down to the gap are impressive. Add in the fact that you need a bunch of speed to clear the rocks at the bottom, and now you have a line of the winter.

Larson, by the way, hits big gaps like it's nothing. See below.

Big things are on the way for Griffin Larson. He just competed in his first FWQ on home turf, and something tells us he'll be planning out, and descending, impressive lines next season, too.

The East Coast takes no prisoners, and hardpack snow is actually some of the best to practice on, because it's less forgiving than powder. Landing cliff drops takes skill when the landing is a sheet of ice.
