It is no secret that Sheffield United have a plethora of players out of contract in the summer, one of which is youngster Daniel Jebbison, who Chris Wilder had hoped of persuading him to sign a new deal.

It’s now being reported by Alan Nixon that Jebbison is refusing to sign fresh terms with the Blades as he looks to make a new start elsewhere this summer. Additionally, the report states experienced striker Oli McBurnie is also looking to move on from the club at the end of his current contract.

The 20-year-old, Jebbison, has failed to feature this season after suffering an unspecified injury during pre-season. He did make 16 appearances last term in the Championship and found the net once, adding two assists to his name.

You would think Jebbison would be in the mix to start next campaign in the Championship, but with this news that the Canadian-born forward is looking to attract a Premier League move his Sheffield United future is now in question.

Meanwhile, the prospect of losing McBurnie is another problem United are contending with. The Scotsman has scored four times and provided two assists this term. One main problem with the 27-year-old is that he cannot seem to keep himself off the treatment table.

If Sheffield United are two lose both strikers in the summer, plus Cameron Archer being sold back to Aston Villa, then you’d expect at least a couple of fresh faces in. Rhian Brewster and Will Osula would be the first-team’s only recognised strikers.
